CCleaner is a freeware system optimization, privacy and cleaning tool. It removes unused files from your system, allowing Windows to run faster and freeing up valuable hard disk space. It also cleans traces of your online activities such as your Internet history. Additionally it contains a fully featured registry cleaner.
It's something I've always used, and just now noticed that there is not a thread on here for it. You want to download it? Click here. You'll be happy you did. ;)

There are plenty of settings on which you want it to scan. One example is cleaning out Internet Explorer and leaving Firefox alone. There's like 20-25 different things you can check off for it to check.

Go to "Options", Then "settings". In there you should see a check box for that option.
