    Default Formatting my pc?

Well I can afford a usb gecko, so I'm going to get that soon, butttttt, I also need a computer. I have an old beat up one that my parents have said multiple times that I can have if I can speed it up. It is amazingly slow, takes like 10 minutes for the internet browser to pop up. Is there a way that I can delete all my programs *except for like internet explorer and whatever else is needed* besides uninstalling it one by one with the uninstall programs thing?

Find the brand, specific model, and check out online for some sort of recovery disc to create.

    You Need a Registry Cleaner.
You can get CCleaner for FREE or you can opt to buy RegZooka which I have. I have both of these. CCleaner does a good job but I have found that ReZooka will find the most registry errors and fix them. You can also defragment your registry with RegZooka. RegZooka cost like $30.00 a year and will back up your registry before it fixes any errors.
Registry Errors are the #1 cause of a slow PC. Anytime you move things around, add new files/Programs, Remove files/programs it can start producing invalid file paths which can create registry errors and slow your PC down a great deal.
Go with CCleaner first since it's free and your trying to get a Gecko, but I would honestly save after that for a GOOD Registry cleaner like RegZooka. It works wonders.
If the CCleaner does not do a good enough Job you can also get DeFraggler which will Defrag your PC HDD much more efficiently than the one currently installed by microsoft. This may also help your PC.
Both DeFraggler and CCleaner can be downloaded for free at http://www.piriform.com/
RegZooka can be obtained here http://zookaware.com/regzooka/. Even if you don't decide to get this at least do the free scan. It can give you a good Idea of how many registry errors you really have versus the Free Cleaners.
    Hope this Helps.

I would certainly try Cleaning the Registry and Defrag before Formatting the HDD. That Formatting would be a last ditch effort IMO.

Pfft didn't I say anything besides that? Ill do that until it gets a lil faster, and then go and use those programs. Maybe ill even make a vid of my computer and its epic slowness lmfao.

I never have any luck with all those programs you can use, the best way is just by formatting and starting again - I do this a few times a year it takes up probably a day if you are going to install a lot of programs (GBs) however you could just install any programs as you need them. You definitely feel the benefit when you format your PC and if that doesn't work then I'm sorry to say it but I think you might need a PC.
Also what Operating System are you using? I'd recommend Windows 7 and if not XP, Windows Vista has always been frowned upon and thought to be not worth the upgrade from XP - if you don't have Windows 7 you can always google it.

More RAM would definitely be a simple solution, if the registry cleaners/defragmenting doesn't help. What are the computer specs? processor, RAM, etc.

You could get more RAM but it depends on your specs like your processor if it is going to really help.
There are some cheap computers about and sometimes you can trade in your old computer and get money off so if nothing seems to be working for you there are always other options.
