Default Wiiflow Help (Stuck at Insert HDD Page)

Hi, ok well like in the title I said when I load Wiiflow I get stuck at the insert HDD USB page. I have it in the correct port, I'm positive. Am I doing something wrong? Do I need to re-download it? and Yes I used the searchbar, and no such luck.

Here's some of my USB Hard Drive Specs:
    Memory- 7.43 Gigs
    Format- FAT32
    Publisher- Sandisk
    Product Name- Sandisk Cruzer (8GB)

    -Thanks

I can relate... i had the same exact issue. I think you need an HDD (hard drive) to load wiiflow because when i tried to use my usb it said the same thing. You can get some cheap hard drives at walmart or just use config usb loader or usbloader gx.

I'm hearing from all different TuTs to format it to FAT32 and others NTFS. Either way I've tried both formats, and no luck.

Just for the heck of it plug it in the other usb port on your wii and try it. If it still doesn't work then make sure you have ciso 222 and cios 249 installed.

i take no credit in this, i just copied and pasted

    Formatting

Connect your usb device to your computer.
    Load FAT32_GUI_Formatter on your computer.
Choose your correct drive letter. [important]
    Allocation unit size: 32768.
    Click start.

    Transferring Games

    Open wii backup manager.
    Click the drive 1 tab.
    Click the drive drop menu.
    Select your usb device.
    Click the files tab.
    Click the add drop menu.
Browse to a compatible file or directory of folders containing compatible files.
Click the select drop menu and click all.
Click the transfer drop menu and select drive 1.

    Launching Wiiflow

Connect your usb device to port 0 [the outer most usb port] on the back of your wii console.
Connect the power cord if needed.
    Power on your wii.
    Select wiiflow channel.
    Select start.

    Downloading Covers

Connect your wii to the internet.
    Click on the settings button.
    Select download covers and titles.
    Select wiitdb all.
    Select covers missing.

    1. You need to download WBFS Intelligent gui v6 from here:

    Code:

    http://www.megaupload.com/?d=EBC339W4

    Downloaded unpack with winrar.

    3. If on Vista or Windows 7 you need to right click on the .exe file and run as and administrator or it wont work. If you are on XP then run it normally. You will get a screen like this:

    4. Once you have the software booted up and you have the graphical user interface in front of you along with your hard drive, flash drive, or SD card of choice connected to your PC, click the little flippy triangle in the drive letter box towards the top right hand side of the screen and click the letter assigned to the drive that you would like do format to WBFS (Wii Backup File System). If you are not sure what letter it is, then go to "my computer" and have a look see.

    5. Next, click format partition on the right towards the top and it will format to WBFS file structure.

    6. Now when that is done, make sure that you have your new WBFS drive letter still selected in the drive letter box. The contents of the drive will be in the big box on the right. Of Course there will be nothing in there at first.

    7. Now once that is done go onto the left side of the user interface and click file explorer towards the top left side and brows to either your cISO or ISO, it will work for both and select.

    8. The file will now show up in the box on the left. Now all you need to do is click the little triangle pointing to the right that is between the boxes and it will inject the ISO or cISO, (it doesn't matter because you can mix or match with this software) onto the drive.

    9. That's it, exit out and safely eject your new Wii drive and plug it into your Wii in the left USB port in the back of you Wii, that's if you are facing the front of the Wii because only one certain USB port works remember and that's the one.

    10. Next open up your USBLoader program of choice and it should work.

    Hope this helps.

If it does help, a thanks or +rep will be sufficient.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------
For extracting Ciso from the Wii WBFS drive to your PC follow this:

    1. Just click advanced extraction on the top right hand corner of the software interface. You will now have a screen like this:

    2. Click WBFS to

    3. Now click the PC circle in the top right hand corner.

    4. Next click the letter of your WBFS drive in the drive letter box in the top left corner.

    5. Further more, click the Ciso [Compressed ISO] circle in the middle on the bottom.

    6. Finally, find the games you want and click the arrow in the middle of the two big boxes and it should go the your WBFS Intelligent GUI v6 folder on your PC. You can move it from there to any were or device you want.

For those of you who are having problems with WBFS Intelligent Gui V6, here is Wii Backup Manager v0.3.3.:
    Code:

    http://www.megaupload.com/?d=MRG7BZEO

I will be adding instructions with pics for that here soon.

It is now possible to use Fat 32 and sometimes even NTFS file systems with most usb loaders if you need to use your drive for other purposes other than Wii but I haven't done that yet. It is a possibility and something you can look into though.

How to safely update to 4.0 or 4.1 with wads:
