Fear of BANNNNNNNN. Lol?
Okay so I'm thinking if jailbreaking my ps3. I have the cfw for 3.72 legit downloaded and all, but I want to ask first, I heard you can get console banned for this, is that true? If so, what are the necessary precautions in jailbreaking and using homebrew apps so as not to get caught? Please and thank you fro any responses

i doubt you have a legit 3.72 cfw, js. but yes, they can ban your console. Jailbreaking isn't really for online hacking, as much as for loading backups and other homebrew applications.

I think I have one, I'll test it and if it works I'll post, k? ;)
anywayysss so if I back up say Oblivion, then play it off of a backup manager, whilst logged into ps3, can they ban me? In that mindset if I'm playing off of a disc can they see that my ps3 is jailbroken?

I think they do checks to see if it's jailbroken or not. whether you're playing from a disc or not, they can tell. however, you should be fine if it's not connected to the internet.
There is a thing you can buy, called the E3 Flasher, that lets you switch between firmwares, and downgrade. Might be useful if you still want to play online.
Where did you get the CFW?

Oh okay, I just won't do it if its that much trouble, or just buy a second ps3 just for that.
I dug for a good couple of hours through different modding sites, I don't remember where I got this one.
