Faster Torrent download help
K i got Bit torrent 7.5 and downloading an ISO file of about 2.88GB but the down load time is inaccurate and slower than normal. Is there a way to speed it up and make it say how much longer it takes cause I know its going faster than 2 days and 5 hours. And what happens if I turn off or put my laptop on Sleep will I still have its current progress will I have to restart.

If you have a choice, always go with the torrent the has the most seeders. More seeders=faster download. Trying another torrent with more seeders is the best you can do. If this is the only available torrent then I suggest exiting out if all extra windows, ending tasks in task manager (if you have a pc) that take up a lot of CPU, and/or pausing the download to reset your router.

How can I tell if it has a lot of Seeders? And what site has a lot of them.

If will say how many seeders it has to the side of the torrent when download it. For example, 1(163), means that there are 163 seeders and you are downloading the files from 1 of those. As the download goes on the number to the left of the parentheses should go up (ex. 27(163) ). At thepiratebay.com you can see how many seeders it has before you download under the "seeders" column thingy. If you search for something then click on the word "seeders" to the right of the page-ish it will organize the search results from the most seeders to the least. Sorry for the long reply :P

Your download speed depends on your internet connection, what the other seeders have their upload ratio set to, what you have your download and upload set to, how many maximum connections you have set, if you have your settings configured correctly for maximum download speeds.
It also can cause slow DL speeds if there are a lot of "leechers"... people who are downloading the same file you are.
Usually I like to use Demonoid as my primary download source. It's invite only, and sometimes, you might be able to find it open to new registrations.
I'm not at my PC right now otberwise I would be able to tell you what to set all your settings as for max DL speed.
Usually if any torrent site has that same torrent file, then that site will be listed in the torrents "seed" list.

If you are using a Mac I know a Torrent application to speed up the process by a lot!
