Default [SM8E52] Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 3 Review

What's most impressive about [SM8E52] Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 on the Wii [SM8E52] game is that the teams behind it have managed to squeeze so much of the other versions into [SM8E52]. You have the same campaign as the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC, the same online multiplayer, and at least some of the same Spec Ops content on [SM8E52]. But [SM8E52] is running on dated hardware, which brings the performance down to a state that makes [SM8E52] a chore to play. Texture pop-in occurs all too often, [SM8E52] often drops below 30 fps, and [SM8E52] online connection issues mar what should be the best part of the [SM8E52] experience.

[SM8E52] wraps up the story laid out in the previous Modern Warfare games; or, at least, it tries. The story in [SM8E52] confuses and isn't all that interesting, serving only as a backdrop for the badass set pieces and battlegrounds you play in. If you really pay careful attention to the [SM8E52] plot, you might be able to follow [SM8E52] along, but the fact that you have to put effort into understanding or caring about the [SM8E52] plot remains problematic.

Also in [SM8E52] returns the annoying endlessly spawning enemies and crazy A.I. Certain stages in [SM8E52] will have portions where a near-endless flood of foes come at you until you get to a specific point in the [SM8E52] level, while at other times enemies completely disregard their own well-being if it means they can run up and shoot you in the face. It's an annoying part [SM8E52].

Story and other irritating issues in [SM8E52] don't matter all that much in the other versions of [SM8E52] because the sheer spectacle and awesome firefights are enough to keep you riveted and in the heat of the moment. With the [SM8E52] Wii version, though, the graphical fidelity, while pushing what the system can do, just doesn't deliver what's needed to make the scenes as striking and enveloping as you know they are from playing the other platforms. Sure, [SM8E52] has moments that impress, but more often, badass scenes are ruined by intrusive texture pop-in and muddy visuals. You don't expect the Wii to have the same power as other platforms, but even over component the lower resolution makes it hard to pick out targets at range in [SM8E52]. It also pulls you out of the scenes of [SM8E52], so instead of focusing on how crazy the set pieces are, you find yourself wincing at the constant visual issues in [SM8E52].

[SM8E52] on Wii could also use a bit more light. Unlike the other versions, the Wii doesn't even have a brightness setting. You can raise the brightness on your TV, but it always looks a bit too dark, making many of the firefights even harder. Combine this with the problematic performance – it runs at 30 fps or lower when [SM8E52] is designed for 60 – and shooting in [SM8E52] made me feel clumsy and frustrated. You have the option of playing with with pointer controls or Classic Controller but [SM8E52] doesn't have the same sort of tightness and responsiveness that you've come to expect from the franchise when its running at a higher fps, in this case [SM8E52].

The words "Wii" and "online multiplayer" aren't used in the same sentence very often, but [SM8E52] for Wii takes the same multiplayer suite from the 360 and puts it onto Nintendo's console. Feature-wise [SM8E52] is rich, with the same refined systems of unlockables, great game modes, perks and leveling. [SM8E52] even has online voice chat if you have a headset. Again though, like the campaign, the problem with [SM8E52] comes down to performance. Despite playing on multiple networks and on multiple systems, online play on [SM8E52] suffers from constant lag. Forum users have adapted to this, encouraging people to "lag shoot" (essentially compensate by aiming ahead of the other player), but it makes [SM8E52] multiplayer difficult to stomach. You don't mind being cut down by a better player, but losing because hit detection is off due to lag annoys in [SM8E52] is just annoying. Hopefully they'll patch [SM8E52] in the near future, but you'd be sorely disappointed as a consumer jumping online right now to play [SM8E52].

The ability to do quick-matches is great, but [SM8E52] is still held back by Nintendo's friend code system. If you want to directly connect to a friend in [SM8E52]you better be ready to exchange a code – it's tedious and feels completely outdated. The [SM8E52] Wii version also doesn't include [SM8E52] Elite, Activision's service that tracks your stats and allows you to interpret and interact with them in really exciting ways. It doesn't ultimately affect gameplay of [SM8E52], but it would have been nice if it could have made the leap to the Wii alongside the other features - all missing from [SM8E52].

The new [SM8E52] Spec Ops Survival Mode also makes the [SM8E52] Wii version but has been so lag-ridden that it's effectively rendered unplayable. Conferring with other players and have tried to play the mode on [SM8E52] several times, every session tells the same story of [SM8E52]. You can play [SM8E52] Spec Ops alone (the [SM8E52] Wii version doesn't support split-screen in any capacity), but [SM8E52] Spec Ops isn't nearly as fun. The lack of the [SM8E52] Spec Ops mission modes also makes [SM8E52] feel a bit feature light; a strange omission since almost all the other content from the 360, PS3 and PC versions seems to have come over - just not covered on/with [SM8E52].

    [SM8E52] Overall:
If the lower resolution of [SM8E52] and other graphical changes made to bring [SM8E52] to the Wii had resulted in performance parity, [SM8E52] could have been great. Visuals aren’t everything, but when the graphics make [SM8E52] hard to pick out targets or they make [SM8E52] perform poorly when [SM8E52] was designed to run super-silky, they become problematic. With the frustrating [SM8E52] connection issues that turn Call of Duty’s [SM8E52] greatest component, its [SM8E52] multiplayer, into an anger-inducing time, and you have a port that feels like a bastardization of a fantastic game, [SM8E52]. Wii owners deserve more of [SM8E52].

Nice way to get us up there in google search results, extreme ;). I couldn't read past the 4th paragraph, though - too many [SM8E52]'s.

More or less yeah, I'll add the source when I get onto my computer.
A simple bit of SEO but it might work - we'll see.
