    Default Connection sharing help.

I've been trying to share a wireless connection with my Mac, through a windows xp laptop for a few days now, and i'm stuck.

Basically, my parents are poor as fuck, so until they get money to pay our internet bill, we have no internet and i'm using my neighbors. He's fine with that, but for some reason i can place my laptop RIGHT beside my Mac, get an average signal on my laptop, but nothing on the Mac.

I'm trying to share the connection through an ethernet cord to my Mac, by bridging the connection, but it's not working out. When i bridge the connection, my laptop loses connection to the wireless network, and when it connects back, it can't load any webpages. Wouldn't be a problem if i could get anything on my Mac, but nope, nothing there either.

Is there any specific thing i'm supposed to do? Because I've done a lot of googling, but haven't found much that's helpful. And seeing as this site has a fair share of people with technical know-how, i'm hoping you guys can help.

Mac says it has a self assigned IP, if that makes a difference. Mac running Snow Leopard, laptop running XP.

    Thanks for any help.

Ahem, how the fuck could i post this thread, ASSHOLE? Like i said, IN THE FUCKING POST, i'm on my neighbor's.
Now stop wasting my time. I'm trying to get some help, not listen to a four year old kid fail at trying to troll.

Any real help? I've managed to make it so it stays connected to the wireless network when the bridge is enabled, and i've got my laptop connected to Mac using a router as a hub. But i can't connect to anything, still. I think the problem is that my router is assigning an IP to my Mac, but not sure.

Edit. I think "hackingninja" is the kid that got banned, "A real hacker" or whatever the hell it was. Eighth post, and already caps spamming?
