    1st off:
    Don't start coding online.
    2nd off:
    For beginners, you don't know. Most people start looking in the 16-bit range.

    Start out by making inf. Ammo, god mode, speed mod, rapid fire, inf. Money, and stuff like that on an OFFLINE game. You will get the feel for it, that way. If you need help learning how to search for things, like rapid fire, you can ask me. I'm sicker then hell and there's no way I'm going to school tomorrow, so if I don't answer I'm either asleep or throwing up... and ill get back to you when I can.

    if you dont know the value, search for an unspecific value, that will probably give you like 6 million codes if you are on 32 bit. then like if you are doing an ammo code, shoot your weapon and search less than last value, repeat several time until you have just a few codes to "poke"
