What are your experiences and methods of trying to start a relationship. Does it happen naturally, do you ask for a date?
Just thought it'd make for an interesting discussion.

Been single forever. Though I get Freshman chicks who flirt me which I think is weird and awesome at the same time.
But my school is whites, Mexicans, and Middle Easterns.
White girls are annoying as fuck. So with Mexicans. Middle Easterns keep to themselves. I dont have much variety.

That's for douche bags.
Start to know the girl. This might take a while, but It will show that you're trust worthy, and makes her more comfortable.
When you and her start to know each an other, then go for the kill.
I mean I hate people who just asks girls they don't even know, or flirting.
Like this kid, he was a HUGE flirt
He flirted so much I thought he was desperate.
I had my experiences.
Mexicans are cool.
Whites are cool, some are annoying.
Blacks, aren't really my type.

Usually start off talking and becoming close friends and see where that goes.

Dated my current girlfriend, broke up, became bestfriends, spent a year waiting for her, finally made her fall for me, spent two months talking without really doing anything, and now we're dating happily.

Same as BlackGuy, I've been single all my life and I do get girls flirting with me and all interested but it's just I don't know what my next move is, I don't know what to do if she says yes or if she says no, I'm afraid of failing. I know that if a person really liked me, she wouldn't care if I failed because we would move on but most girls aren't that mature to understand that.

My relations start in a way that just makes shit awkward. I become friends with said girl for many years and it just takes off. Last girlfriend was a friend of mine since my 8th grade year (junior in highschool now). I let that go though, too much to worry about as it is. Last girlfriend got in a car accident, nearly had a heart attack. Dumped her last year (which was the year she had the accident).

That's one of the biggest points - failure. What if she says no or doesn't understand, is it putting your friendship at risk - it may make her feel uncomfortable.

With my girlfriend, we were friends for a while after we first broke up, and she didn't know i wasn't over her. Once i told her, things were awkward at first, but we got used to it. I pretty much had to tell her, she wouldn't stop telling me about this guy she liked, it was depressing me pretty bad. Waited a year. To be exact, 364 days.
