Dream-A series of thoughts, images, and sensations occurring in a person's mind during sleep.
What are dreams? Where do they come from? Do we go to another place while we dream? Some people believe dreams come from past events or even things that may come in the future. Early Hebrews believed dreams were associated with religion and good dreams were from god and bad dreams were from evil spirits. In some Asian cultures they believe when you dream your soul is on a journey until you awaken, Indian cultures believe dreams are expressions of inner desires or that the soul is guided away from the body until you awaken.
No one has discovered what dreams truly are or why we have them. Some people don't remember they're dreams by the time they wake up. I think they're is more to dreams then people think, I think dreams were given to us for a reason for some important purpose but I don't know what.
I've been having some weird dreams lately and I've just been thinking about this stuff, feel free to share your thought's and ideas on the subject.
To know what dreams mean would be truly enlightening.

I have this weird thinkings, that, your soul is at many places at a time, many even on other planets, and whenever you dream, those are thoughts of that. It's my opinion only, don't troll.

I too believe that dreams are random. There are many different things that could affect what our dreams may be about though. That is the interesting part. When we know how to control our sub-conscious, we'll be able to control our dreams. It's a very difficult thing, but I have heard of people accomplishing it.

I think we dreams are simply what we have on our mind... for example almost every night I think of my friends... one of my friends shot herself, so I uncounciously imagine her laying on the ground... I can't explain it, but I do, and I've had dreams that I talked to her. I imagine another one of my friends cutting herself in the bath tub... then dream of her in some random way... this is a good thread... I suppose I never really thought about dreams. What do they mean? Hmm...

You remember your dreams if you don't get woken up by anything you just wake up naturally, if you don't remember hem you got woke up by something

Some think that dreams are influenced by your thought process where by your brain filters through your knowledge to decide what it considers important and not-so important.

I have read that you have hundreds of dreams each night, but that you can't even hope to remember them all.
My dreams are seldom what i want them to be. I think what you dream has a lot to do with your mental state when you go to sleep, rather than your thoughts at the time. i.e. if you're calm, you'll dream about normal, slightly different things. Whenever i've gone to bed angry, my dreams have been turbulent and complicated, and i often only remember the bare details.
This thread reminds me of something i read a couple of months ago, that has to do with lucid dreaming; a dream where you know it's a dream. It was a method of controlling your dreams.

I wish you could remember dreams. I don't know why but that make me feel better about myself if I could remember my dreams.
