    Default DropItTo.me & Dropbox

Today I came across a nice little method for others & friends to send you files through your own website, and get them directly on your desktop within seconds or minutes.

If you have a slow internet connection, then this is something you might want to look into.

First, create a dropbox account and install the software onto your computer. Configure the program.

Next, create an account on dropitto.me .. You can create a password so only people with the password can send you stuff. (make sure that your "upload" password is NOT the same as your "account" password. Max size for each upload a person can send you at one time is 75 megabytes. (it's an ok size, not great, but good enough).

Go back to your dropbox account and ALLOW dropittome in your account.

Now, if you have a website, and know how to edit the raw html code, then just add this code wherever you want the "form/box" to show at.
    Code:
Your browser does not support iframe. Please go here to continue to send me that file.
And now, whoever has the password that you set for the "upload" password, can send you files using "their" internet connection.

For a working demo, you can go here:

    (password not included)

    How It Works:

It sends the file to your dropbox account online, then sends it to your desktop.

I always just used DropBox's folder sharing feature, instead of the Dropittome thing.

Used to use it for my minecraft server.

I could not find how to embed dropbox into a website. Guess I'll look into it more later on when I got the time.

I like this idea. It's cool. The file sharing with dropbox is more convenient for a small group but like you said I don't think it can be integrated into a website like this.
