Question about Xbox 360 modding
Okay, so I just recently started messing with my xbox again, and started to wonder, so I figured after searching and searching, and never getting an answer, Id go to the one place that usually has all the answers.
I was wondering if there is any way to mod a xbox 360, like I have modded my wii? I am familiar with the wii setup, had no problem with it. but I cannot find anything on the xbox subject.
So I guess my question is, is there any type of Hombrew / Usb loaders for xbox 360 that I can download games off of online and add to my harddrive?
Or is the only way to rip the disc?
As always, thank you for your time. (:

Well, there is this thing called an X360Key that you can use to load games from a USB. I'd check that out if I were you. The other ways you could do it is by flashing/hard chipping your XBOX, but that is a pain sometimes.

Okay, thanks, (: I'll deff try that and get back to you on if it works.
and yea, I heard about flashing/chip modding, but I heard it was a pain. but I think in the end all of it costs a decent bit of money which I do not have at the moment. lol
Yea.. I checked it out and...
that's a bit of a pricey investment. haha at 99$, so I am not sure about it. lol

It's possible to do, but only by JTAG'ing or flashing your xbox. Both of which cannot go on xbox live, since they can be detected and console banned.

Do you know what the cost of jtaging or flashing would be?
I dont plan to play live anyways. and is that with the mod chip? or no mod chip?

You can Hotswap, that's somewhat undetectable.

I took a look into the hotswapping, and what I got from it is that you can only swap if you already have the disc, its to load up a mod disc from what I assume, but im not sure, do you know if it will work with any disc?

JTag Price: 20$ Take's a VERY long time to do (If you are just deciding to do it.)
JTagged Xbox Price: 200 - 450$ Depending on what motherboard you want.

If you don't plan on playing XBL, just flash it.
