    Default Connecting to the Internet

I was thinking of buying this cable:

to connect my Wii to the internet. I was thinking of buying this wire and directly plugging one end into the Wii, and the other end into the router.

Will this work? Or will I need to buy a LAN adapter because the Wii does not have the right LAN input?

Meaning take a wire with two male ends and plug one into the router and one into the Wii.... Will that work to connect to the internet on the Wii?

I am asking this because the Wii does not have a direct LAN input.

I think you don't understand what a LAN adapter looks like. One end of it is a "male" usb end and the other connects to an ethernet cable where it connects to a modem/router. Hopefully you understand.

Yeah, I know what a LAN adapter is, that's why I want to get a USB male/male wire because it is cheaper.
