Default [HELP] Can you change the region of your wii to use other codes

Hey guys, I was wondering if there is a way to change the region of codes that I use. I ask this because I am in a horrible region for hacking and would prefere to use USA code as they are a lot better.

Isnt USA region NTSC. They have alot of codes, I think more than any other region, but im not sure. If codes have to move to a different region they probably will have to be made in that region... Again, I dont know.

Changing your Wii's region wouldn't affect what codes you can use since this depends on the game's region. In some countries they have different things added/taken out of the game that makes the addresses offset different, therefore making codes from other regions useless. However, most codes for COD games work for other regions.

Best thing to do in your case would be to softmod your wii and download the NTSC version of your games. You could also try the "force NTSC" option in Gecko OS, though I'm not sure if that changes anything RAM wise.

A simple solution , If its MW3 or B.O just download the NTSC versions .
Now you wont be able to play online as the updates are region specific , so a PAL wii wont allow the NTSC MW3 update .

The solution to this is to use wii backup image editor and change the the game I.D from SM8E52 to SM8P52 or whatever region you need to change to .
This will allow you to get the updates needed to play online and as long as in the ocarina/code manager you create the code with the game I.D as SM8p52 , the NTSC codes will work just fine .

Another real simple way , but more prone to hit and miss ( As Poptarthunter explained above ) Is to just use the NTSC code and in the manager make the game I.D to SM8P52 .
I used to do this , but it is a test to see approach , the top method works every time for me and many others who downloaded the NTSC release of the game and didn't want to lose all you had done by having to re-download the PAL version .

Ok back to poptart. if i was to get the ISO for MW3 or B.O would it matter what regoin i use for that cause on the piratebay (where i get my ISO's from) it still displays regoins. I need to know cause i started downloading Black ops ISO for SC7P52 but if i can get NTSC then i want to get that.

Yes, I can tell how to do it.With Any region changer you can change: video, game setting, shop country code (to download the patch of ntsc of mw3) or change all the wii region.

You can download it if u deletes your wii shop account and with any region changer change the wii shop code in 49(USA). Then yuo willl able to download the patch. I done this and now i'm playing mw3 ntsc online with my wii pal
