FF Viewer doesn't work on Windows XP?
I bought this old 1GB ram windows XP, for modding, so then when I'm going on my computer, Wii, computer, Wii, I don't get stuck waiting an hour when my dads on my computer. But the problem with Windows XP is REALLY strange. So it was working for the first 3 days. Then, I would open an ff file, and ALL the gsc's were infected with square characters, and what makes it even wierder is that the gsc size is still the game. So if the gsc size without squares is 2556/2556 then with squares is 2556 and I can save it. It freezes my Wii when it starts up with the square characters in it. To make things even weirder is that I can copy and gsc and paste it into notepad++ or anything else for that matter and it takes the squares out. I was thinking it was a visual glitch with the program, but then why would it lock up when the game is loading? (It doesn't do that "loading.." thing, it freezes on the intro) So I was using ff manager, but it's a pain in the ass since I can't use the tab button. I did a shit load of research, found 2-3 other ff viewing programs, none of them worked for me. I searched up "ff viewer Windows XP"
nothing. I tried different versions of ff viewer, I even opened a clean ff file, and even download RTD, all the files were infected. The thing is, is that if I don't save it, it doesn't get infected. I tried extracting with Trucha and WiiScrubber, it made no diff. But when I took an ff file from this computer and put it on my other, it had no squares, that's how I knew that it wont infect if you don't save. I know, it's fucking weird. Other people have had these problems with it, but I guess it's never really talked about. Thanks.
