    Default Help installing cIOS 249

I am installing cIOS 249 to get a mod menu. I open the installer my friend gave me, and i select cIOS 249, and my remote turns off on the screen that says Disclaimer: I am not responsible and stuff about your wii. I try syncing it, changed batteries, tried another remote, and no results. Its the rev20 installer. Any help? I have a black 4.3U wii. Can someone give me a different installer or help me? thanks

This is such a common problem. Get the "Dx2 CIOS installer" app for homebrew. All your problems are solved. You're welcome.

Thanks for the quick reply, I don't want to do anything stupid. So it shows a configuration page in dx2. Could you help me with this:
    Select cIOS: Default is : dx2 v6
Select cIOS base: default is 37
Select cIOS slot: default is 249(im assuming this is correct)
Select cIOS revision: default is 21006

Thanks man, it worked! I know this is off topic but I dont want to make a new thread everytime I experience a problem with modding. USB loader gx is not reading my USB. I formatted it through WBFS manager. It gives an unusual loading message that I haven't seen before. It says Waiting for HDD: and then a 20 second countdown. Once again, I'm really sorry, but I am very new to wii modding.

Don't worry bud. It's fine. I'll be here to help you through. Get the configurable USB loader, also known as cfg. Google a tutorial to configure it. I forget what you all need to do. After you get the app, I'll take you to the next step.

I renamed sample_config.txt to config.txt. I loaded up cfg and it said to choose your wbfs device, i chose the USB hass, and now it said haunting device, and then it said make sure the USB is in USB port 0, I tried it with the USB in both slots. Do I need to make any changes in config.txt? Im thinking about Removing the #'s on this part:
    # background = background.png
    # wbackground = background_wide.png
    # layout = large3
    # covers = 1
    # hide_footer = 1
    # device = usb

Use this tutorial TO THE LETTER http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-faqs-guides-tutorials-only/100274-configurable-usb-loader-installation-settings-guide.html . If you don't get it, ask me. But try and if you don't get it, ask me tomorrow. It's almost midnight here and I'm tired. Good luck.
