Gecko usb on new wii?
My old wii was about 5 years old and it eventually broke of course, i got a new wii last christmas and noticed it is not gamecube compatible. Is there like a gecko reader that plugs into ur usb i can buy? Or did i get screwed over. (im pretty sure I did)

Your Wii should still have the Gamecube memory card slots even if it is a newer Wii.
@Red, stop trying to discourage people wanting to learn how to code. I never understood why people act like this, this guy wants to stop being a leecher and learn how to make codes himself. Don't judge him right off the bat, if he wants to then cool.

Yes and no.
Newer Wii's do not have the Gamecube ports anymore, though the support is not removed from the firmware.
All the solder points where the Gamecube ports should be on the newer Wii's motherboard are still there, meaning you can remove the Gamecube ports from a older, broken Wii and solder them onto the newer Wii's board.
Once you do that, the Wii's software will notice that the Gamecube ports are back and you will be able to read/play Gamecube games, and you'll be able to use USB Geckos again.
