    Default ipod halp

I'm trying to restore my ipod to it's factory settings but it won't work. It just stays in a constant loop and it's been doing it for days but still nothing has happened. So I decided to just unplug the charger and let the battery die out so it can turn on my itself again. Nothing has changed even though it "supposedly" has been deleted all my useless files. Does anybody know of another way to restore your ipod? Oh and mine is jailbroken.

What error does iTunes give? There are a myriad of things that could cause this, including a messed up cord, modified hosts file, etc.

No, that's not right at all. Stop giving advice when you don't know what you're talking about. Jailbreaking does nothing to harm an iDevice, all it does is give you root access.

Jailbroken devices usually move to Mexico to avoid the feds.

I didn't connect it to iTunes. I used a wall charger to keep it charged the whole time. Oh and I used the "Erase all content and settings" options in settings.

There's your problem. Use iTunes. That feature doesn't even restore it. A restore = wiping the firmware off, including all data, and reinstalling the latest firmware.
