Download a Windows 7 installer and burn it to a cd or download Ubuntu and put it on a bootable usb

I'm pretty sure he'll want to fix his current OS before moving onto a new one.

Try booting into safe mode, hold down F8 after the BIOS go off the screen and it'll give you a list of Windows boot options, pick the one that says "Safe Mode" or some shit.

If it doesn't boot then, then you fucked your system files somehow.

The sydtIt freezes at the starting windows part and I've got windows 7 installed. Also, I haven't touched any of the system files.

Either find the disk you used to install Windows 7 and boot into the system repair on it, find the startup disk that came with your computer (this is if the OS was installed when you bought the computer), or download a Windows 7 startup repair ISO and put it on a USB/DVD and boot from it.

"Startup repair" not "format and install new system"

Windows 7 installation disks come with a system startup repair tool that automatically scans the harddrive for Windows 7 partitions and attempts to find and fix anything that's preventing it from booting.
