Universal Tritton AX180 Headset for Wii
Now, I was bugging through some vids on youtube since I didnt know where to take my mic apart so I can rewire it. I came across this. This guy said it's for wii, and this video came out before Wii u ever was known. This is compatible with all systems including pc/mac. IT is a wired headset.
Here's the vid. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FcRMkSxAxvQ

I'm not 100% sure if this actually works for wii.

I see a lot of bad reviews. I guess it really is compatible for Wii.

I have this headset, don't know why it has such bad reviews though, I haven't had any problems with it. I haven't tried it out on my Wii, but it should work for the audio.

For fucks sake, I've stated this shit plenty of times.
The only mics/headsets compatible for the Wii are the Headbanger, Wii speak, and the Rockband mic.
Those are the only mics that have driver support for them on the Wii.
All of those big headsets you guys keep finding that support Wii only support the audio from the Wii because the Wii's audio cables are wired to the headset then to the TV.
Plugging those things into the USB only give it power to play back sound that's wired to it (which the sound isn't wired through the USB, but the red and white audio cables) and mic usability on the PS3/Xbox/PC, not Wii.
If these did work, you'd find assloads of videos showing them off being used on a Wii, I haven't seen one. Have you? No.
Also, read the fucking comments before jumping the gun.
Edit: If you would have actually read the product description on the Gamestop site, you would have seen this.
