    Cool Deactivated iPhone Help

I'm not the best when it comes to iPhones but I know the stuff I need to know. I am planning on buying an iPhone 4, deactivated, either on AT&T or Sprint and I was wondering if anyone knew that once you deactivate an iPhone can you use for a GPS? If i can even use it for GPS can it be unlocked so it can work on all networks(networks such as Verizon, AT&T and Sprint). Thanks guys

F.Y.I. - I'm going to use it for a iPod because my iPhone 3Gs still has about a year left on its contract, i got the 3Gs right before the 4s came out.

ummm well the way i understood your question umm the answer would be no, because GPS is like a service that the phone company sends you now you can use the GPS apps like mapquest or the iphone map app as a gps but you would need a wifi connection or a data service on the phone. so until that phone has service, you cant use gps
