    Default Lag difference on laptop?

Well I have a Gateway, heats up faster. Had it for a year, but it runs games MUCH faster.

Then there's my new laptop, it's an HP one.
And I can barely get a 10> Fps on it, it' been driving me mad.

Anybody know how to improve performance on the HP?
Or any solutions, or is there anything i need to remove?

There's nothing much you can do. Gaming performance mostly depends on the GPU, and laptops use integrated chips that are far weaker than their dedicated card counterparts. Integrated chips cannot be upgraded because they're exclusively apart of the motherboard. The most you can try is adding more RAM, but that won't help much.

Your other laptop probably had a better integrated GPU than your new one. You can either buy a gaming laptop or build a gaming rig for half the price.

Dude Linux is freeware, has a lot of good features, and in your case it would make your PC faster because Linux distros don't require as much horsepower like windows.in your case I suggest mint or Ubuntu, even fedora.

Linux doesn't use that many resources such as Windows.

Then again, Linux is hard for someone to use if their regular OS is Windows. So it'll probably cause the user headaches when trying to install programs, unless of course they use WINE to emulate Windows programs.

Also, what operating system do you have on your old laptop?

If it's anything under Vista, then it'll be faster when playing games (most of the time). Vista and 7 are memory hogs, so RAM is a brutal thing to have. (I'm sure your new computer has Windows 7)

Programs that are running in the background will add up on the memory usage. So kill any unneeded processes to free up some RAM for your games.

If you want to, for shits and giggles, post the model numbers for each laptop so I can find the specs for them.
