I am absolutely stressed out right now.
I am on schedule to be on stage playing acoustic guitar at my church for the first time.
The leader of the band told me that i'll be on stage november 18th, but instead i'm on schedule for the 11th.
I have to learn 5 songs, with alot of them having chords that I need to learn aswell.
So i've been practicing and freaking out.
My school dumps shitloads of homework on the students, I havent bee getting sleep.
I'm really stressing out because I really don't know to balance these things out
I'm no pro at playing guitar, i only know a good 7 songs.
But I checked the schedule and i'm on stage, and i have 5 songs... school projects.
I really don't know what to do and all i'm asking for legit advice, or how you deal with things like this.
This si the schedule:

In those kind of situations you need to just be honest and say it's a bit much for you.
Ask if you can lower the song limit, different songs, idk. But they do not control you, they need you,
so work things out with them. My advice anyways.

Take it easy. If you can't handle the guitar thing, tell your church you can't. I'm sure they'll understand.

Here's a tip with the music, listen to them constantly and it'll come natural. Hopefully, music will relieve at least some stress.
Good luck though. I know how that's like .

Be sure to tell them you can't play all the songs as soon as you can. Last minute wont fly to well.

A church can't force you to play 5 songs. It's voluntarily by you, so you have complete control of what you play.

Wait dont get the wrong idea.
its a team, with 3 singers a guy or girl on the drums, a guy with a bass, and electric guitar.
I'll be playing acoustic guitar.
And i'll be seating ans speaking little on the mic.
I got down one song just now.

I'm not trying to say don't push yourself or don't try and give up. None of us are saying that.
Were just trying to say if you feel it's too much and the stress is too high them tell them.
You can even tell them "Idk if I can do 5 songs, can we make it 4 until further notice?"
Then if you can get the 5th song good, then tell them you can do the fifth.
