Default wii freezing when i hit multiplayer for mw3....help!

As the title says. I go to gecko, launch the game and then it loads. Then freezes when i hit multiplayer. Can do spec ops with no problems. Any ideas of what might be wrong? Solutions? I've looked for other posts, just can't find one that helps. Thanks.
