Thread: Rooting Questions
11-26-2012, 01:29 PM #1
I've looked into rooting my LG Lucid.
The thing is, as soon as you root it, the warranty is broken.
Kinda gay to me?
I also would like an app (for free) that allows me to take screenshots, without rooting.
Any other reasons I should root it/not root it?

Rooting does generally void your warranty, but that's only if it's rooted when the manufacturer gets it.
Why would you want an app for taking screenshots without screenshotting if you're going to root it?
Rooting is completely harmless as long as you don't go downloading everything you see.

If your phone gets stolen, how the fuck are they gonna know you rooted it?

I've been considering if i should root my Droid 3.
On my old Droid, that was rooted, moved faster, had a longer lasting battery, and i was able to modify my scores in games. (and yes take screenshots).
If your parens are the ones who bought you the phone, I would really just be more careful with it. Because if you ever crack your screen or something, and need it repaired, Verizon or wherever you send it will not repair it. You'll have to buy an entirely new one. And your parents will get pissed at you >xP. SO consider it first.
I shattered the screen on my old rooted Droid 3. And had to buy an entirely new one instead of getting it repaired. A waste of $150.
Once it's rooted, get root browser. Off the internet get "Screenshot UX", and install it. IMO that is the best screenshot app.

Speaking of getting apps for free... :
Pirating apps is illegal, how about that? Haven't forgotten that dick comment.
