If your other devices connect to the internet than it is a problem with your laptop. If they don't your internet is just down atm, your isp might be doing maintenance or something in which case you just wait until it works again.
If you want to check if it is your isp just call them from the phone number on your telephone bill.

I don't think there's a problem with your laptop at all. Try going to the command prompt again and typing "ipconfig /release" then "ipconfig /renew" (without the quotes) and that should renew your address, try getting on the internet after you do that.
If that doesn't work then you might have a network issue that's got the same address as your laptop that's conflicting it. And if that doesn't work, then just reset your wireless hub, and possibly your modem/switch.
If your laptop can connect to the wifi but not get internet, then I don't think there's an issue with it, I think it's a networking issue.

It's your router then. Turn the router off and back on again. This happens to my laptop at certain times.

Nevertheless, to avoid further confusion most people do call the device a "router" is just the box that gets you internet. So do as outlaw stated, I guess my previous post was a little too thorough xD.
