    :3 Embarrassing but true

    I have been self conscious about my size for a long time, but not in the way that you may be thinking.

    My family has had a history of thyroid issues and as genetics go, i ended up getting a fast metabolism.

    "wait your complaining about being skinny?"

    Well yes, I always have been right on the line of under weight and healthy, and i have been made fun of for being scrawny. and my tall height doesnt help the image (im 5 foot 11)

    I could deal with this, but to top it off i have pectus, which is a disorder that causes the cartledege in my chest to grow faster than the bone causing it to buckle inwards. This causes back issues, breathing disorders and in serious cases can cause limitation to movement. And although mine is not severe it is still noticeable through a tee-shirt, and i am often asked if i have a eating disorder.

    Recently my doctor has given me exercises to try and build my chest muscles and to help stretch the bone into a more natural position, but i have neglected to do them and my parents are trying to get me to go to a gym, which i dont feel comfortable going to. To make the story short, i need your guys advise on different exercises that are aimed towards the chest muscles and dont require excessive amounts of exertion


    any help and or advise would be helpful

    do pushups EVERY night, it helps, and dont stop until you arent physically capable of doing any more, keep your arms wide to target chest, always push yourself to get that extra rep in, then when you have enough confidence to go to the gym, go, it helps

    Start taking creatine, or do protien shakes and workout every other night to give your muscles a rest. Also, less weight more reps = toned. More weight less reps = definition

    I've always been skinny as fuck. I stopped caring when I learned I could trump the bigger guys in class. I got teased a bit in middle school and freshmen year, but now everyone's cool with me. There's the occasional derp that thinks brawn > brain, but generally I'm respected because I do well.

    You don't need to go to the gym to get a good work out. Everything can be done at home to a certain extent.

    Eating a calorie surplus is going to be the biggest thing.

    thanks guys, and other than calorie intake im on a organic diet as it is (my mom works at a bakery and is a health freak so we have fresh baked whole weat 12 grain thick cut bread and farm raised meat)


    But i will definatly check out the sources you provided and start imidiatly

    Don't worry too much tony. How old are you? As you grow, even though you seem small, it will all change later. I used to be real short and thought it would never change, but a few years later, I'm the taller than most people I encounter.

    If you have a medicine ball or an exercise ball..there are literally a ton of easy exercises you could you right in your house.

    A weight lifting set would do great. Do some pushups, pullups, do some ball exorcizes, run a bit, and to top it off, eat some lean protein such as jerkey, beef, pork, venison, and some fish. I hope this'll help you out.
