    Cool Switching to Android.

Apple, with their constant updates to crush jailbreakers and prevent people from obtaining the best experiences out of their iDevices, has made me grown to hate them. Just thinking of my iPhone now pisses me off. Android on the other hand supports and doesn't care about hackers[rooters] and in general almost all of the android phones are better then the iPhones. Once my contract runs up on my piece of shit iPhone 3Gs, I will be gladly switching over to Android. I was thinking about getting the Galaxy Note 2 by Samsung. The things I like the most about the Note 2 is the fact that it has a 1.6 GHz quad-core processor, 2 GB of RAM, 5.5 inch screen, 3G/4G, 16 GB internal Memory and a decent battery life. I want to make sure when I get my Android I will be able to Root and install "cracked" apk's on it. What Android is the best one you can get right now and root that is around 100-300$. What androids do you have and what do you have it rooted for? I would root it for custom driver's, roms, CWM recovery and tethering, mostly.

Moto Droid (original), Moto Bionic, LG Optimus, Samsung GS2 and GS3, HTC evo 3D, and HTC evo 4g lte. Me and my gf have owned all these phones at ond point

all rooted for better battery life, custom themes, remove bloatware.

you normally dont need root to install apk's from your sd,only for the ones that have in-app verification that you bought it which only 5% maybe do, in which case you use a patcher

Once u flash a new ROM it'll get rid of the carrier boot animation and after that u can install a custom one using romtoolbox or get rid of it for faster boot
