    Default Looking to upgrade

    Im currently running on a piece of crap HP and i want to upgrade my cpu and or video card.

    Now i want your opinion on what cpu/video card you suggest for mid range gaming (i cant even play arma 2 or batman arkum asylum at this point)

    also include the price of any suggested items

    here are my current specs

    its a desktop, and im almost absolutly sure im on ddr3, with a stock hp motherboard

    gtx 680 and i7 ivy bridge


    you can build a good gaming pc for under $1000, hell youd probably be able to salvage some parts from that hp and spend a lot less and get good performance

    i feel your pain, my current computer is also a Pentium

    not an option im on a tight budget, it may come down to only upgrading the cpu or the gpu.

    $400 limit atm

    well Jew would know better for building on a budget. but he built his badass rig for like $800. amd parts too. like i said salvage parts, and look for deals

    my build project is now est. between $4,000 to 5,000. yea, i dont know budget

    I wouldn't spend too much on a graphics card, anything modern that you get is going to be bottlenecked by your processor.

    my only issue is i know nothing about compatibility, and im not looking to build a beast i just want to be able to play saints row the third on a solid framerate
