    Angry Need decent/advanced android user/modifier

So i have my Samsung Intercept i'm giving to my cousin and i want to remove the default apps such as phone, messages, the voicemail, "Activate" icon/app and the gps maps[doesn't work without data], so it can have more internal space. Before you say you can't do that. I already flashed my phone to a custom Rom(http://www.mediafire.com/?5pawx41499ii043) and this is almost stock(http://www.mediafire.com/?y5vzwectz2f1di3) I looked into the system folder on the roms and it has the apps in there. I just want to know the name of the phone app, message app im pretty sure messages is the mms, maps is probably gps maps and the voicemail. I want to remove the features that make it a phone. because i canceled it a while ago and im just giving it as an "ipod" so if anyone could help me i would be very grateful. thanks.

If you remove some factory installed apps, the phone MIGHT not even make it past the boot screen.

You might end up with a "boot loop".

But, feel free to remove any apps / bloatware you see fit.

If you brick the phone. Oh well, atleast you have a nice paper weight.

This might help you with the process of eliminating garbage content.

Link has some useful advice of sorting through and removing applications. Just make sure to have a recovery system in place in case you cause some catastrophic fuck up. I used to have a basic chart that showed what some base apps would do if you removed them.

Also keep in mind there is airplane mode and you can simply hide applications from the view of your launcher.

Root phone, then delete with a file manager that supports rooted phones.

The bloatware resides in /system/apps, delete apk & odex

Aids he also plans to remove certain phone functions because he no longer needs it as a phone (like phone, mms, etc).
