I am back from Thailand.
So last week I went to Thailand to fight. I ending up losing my fight after doing 2 rounds going for 1:30 seconds.
This is what happened:
On the day that I fought and by the time it was my turn to fight my Opponent and I walked into the ring while music was playing and there was smoke and then it all started. Within the 1st 30 seconds of the fight I kicked my Opponent in the head which made him really dizzy which made the fight stop for like 10 seconds and then we kept fighting. He also flicked me in the head but it didn't do shit. In the 1st round still about 20 seconds to go my Opponent ripped my in the stomach which got me in a great spot making me like grab my gut, we kept going and then that round was over. During the second round It was pretty full on but for most of it I was pretty much dominating and had him on the ropes of the ring punching and kicking him but he got off and we kept fighting. In the last 30 seconds of the fight for about 10-15 seconds I just lost it and let him hit me a bit while blocked and then I kept going and it was time. The refs made the decision and gave it to my Opponent which lots of people though was shit because they said it should have gone for an extension but I think they were avoiding it because throughout the whole day there was not 1 extension which is just bullshit. Anyway later that night we saw the founder of WKO (World Kumite Organization) who is also the same guy who ran the tournament. He said he would have made us go an extension or I should have won because he put his vote on me for the fight.
What was weird about my Opponent:
On Wednesday there was training night where every fighter that was in Thailand at the time was except for my Opponent which was weird. Also on Friday was the final weigh in for all the fighters where once again my fighter was not there which was weird as well because they put my fighter down as 74 kg and he was at least 80-82 kg. Another thing was they said he was a white belt and that he was not great which was total bullshit because he was a black belt in another style and had done other full contact fights where as this was my 1st full contact fight and I am still 4 years away from my black belt. Now the division I was in was meant to be under 15 division meaning they had to be 14 years or in some cases 15 which was stupid because the listed my Opponent as 15 but he he looked much older (at least 16) and we also proved he was older when my dad saw him driving a car and when my dad pulled him aside saying he was not 15 after seeing him hop into the car to drive.
All in all this was a great experience for me to have and i had lots of fun while I was over there. One thing that really made the trip was the day after the tournament we went to one of the sponsors houses who had a fucking mansion where we had all you can eat and a massive pool and a room with pool, bowling and other little games.
My dad also fought on the day and won his fight which was awesome for me to watch.
1 more thing, this fucking disgusting looking lady-man stared me down for about 1 minute, it was fucking gross. I also noticed that with lady-mans and normal Thai women that the lady-mans wore high heels where as the normal women wore flat thongs and runner.
