Ultrasn0w for iOS 6 released, but no A5X support.
Ultrasn0w has always been a great resource for unlocking your iPhone. With the recent decision to ban phone unlocking, and the rise in third party iDevice sellers, it isn't needed quite as much, but there are still quite a bit of older phones that you can unlock. If you have an older phone, you'll be happy to know that Ultrasn0w has been updated for iOS 6 support.
MuscleNerd, the developer of ultrasn0w, updated it very quietly a few days ago. It became common knowledge when he tweeted a reply to someone yesterday:
As MuscleNerd says, Ultrasn0w 1.2.8 works with 6.1 and is already out in Cydia. You just need make sure that you have either an iPhone 4 on baseband 01.59.00, or an iPhone 3G/3GS on basebands 04.26.08, 05.11.07, 0.5.12.01, 05.13.04 or 06.15.00
You can easily check your baseband by navigating to Settings > General > About > Modem Firmware.
If you're on one of the above basebands, you'll want to make sure you don't accidently update your baseband when you update to iOS 6.1. To avoid doing so, open Redsn0w and click Extras > Even More > Restore and choose not to upgrade BB (baseband).
Thanks to iDownloadBlog for the info.
