Gaming on PC Help.
May be a dumb question, but I've seen this done before but for different uses. My laptop isn't the best but I want to play some PC games. Is there a way to temporarily make my laptop only run what it needs for connecting to servers and to game so my RAM doesn't get divided up between useless processors. Or is overclocking my laptop good for it, or would it do damage to my laptop in a while? Thanks in advance.

You could try running game booster, which will close any unnecessary applications while the game is running. http://www.razerzone.com/gamebooster

Don't overclock a laptop, it won't help much and will just cause it to overheat.
Game booster may help, but really if your computer isn't good enough there's not much you can do.

If you get a cheap laptop, you get cheap quality. You can always try playing games on the lowest settings.

Use IoBit GameBooster. It will close unwanted applications which will slightly boost the performance.
