    Default 2-Step Verification Passwords

I was reading an article about Google's improvements to security for user accounts. Apparently since 2011 99.7% of total account hi-jacking has gone down due to the new pre-cations. Google has apparently more than 120 different security measures on each account (if you take the time to fill it all out). Also the newer 2-step password verification by sending a verification code to your cellular device.

What do some of you guys think, this is directed towards people who have actually stolen accounts or know how to. You think this two step verification method fucks up stealing accounts (of course only if it is implemented)?

You can read the same article here: http://goo.gl/NPNPZ

Wouldn't be that hard if a serious hacker knew how to bug cell phone text.

You mean remotely bug someone's phone? Otherwise you would have to know that person and have access to the phone?

Yeahhh to bug someone's phone you would have to physically have the phone with you and you would have to physically implant the bug in there yourself.

Yeap, so that makes Tipton's response rather precise towards the audience of the hack. Meaning unless someone has a real boner to steal your account credentials, you're probably safe. So the average person should be more than secure using a two-step verification.

So why doesn't Codeleakers allow us to log in via Google account (or any service that uses this, I believe Facebook also uses this feature)? That way we can keep our members safe (especially staff members) even if passwords get leaked. Or implement two-step verification directly into the site. That's my suggestion of the day.

That's a great point, PSN should probably use it too. All major services should probably have it implemented. And if it is already implemented, they should advertise this feature some more, because it really is a useful service.
