    Default Working with 4 bits?

All of the current codetypes only work with at the lowest 8 bits. I'm wondering if there is a way to move/edit 4 bits of data at a time. Is there a way in ASM, or is there some sort of codetype trick? I've had a few codes in mind for the past 8 months, and I would like to make an attempt on them. Don't ask what they are, but I'm just wondering if there is a way to work with 4 bits rather than 8 bits? I won't be surprised if there isn't a way, because addresses are split up by 8 bits, but if there is, please do share.

The stb, and lbz commands will prolly come in handy too. Depending on what you are trying to do exactly.
