BIOS Defualt Password
Dell Inspiron 1420
Bought at Thrift Shop
System Number: 100C8F1-595B
Someone setup a BIOS password, and gave it to a thrift shop. I bought it for 20$. It has no operating system on it. I don't have more than 4gb discs, so I'm booting from a USB. I'm installing windows 7.
On Start up I press F12, and the boot menu pops up. The first 2 options it gives me to boot from are the HDD, and a disc.
I tried looking for the CMOS, but thats just a waste of time, because people say that it doesn't work to unplug the jumpers.
I researched more, and found out, that DELL, provides the default passwords, if you loose your's. So people on the internet have been sharing these Passwords.
The Passwords go by your system number. I Google'd my system number, and nothing popped up.
Is there any way that I can fix this? I need it to get into the Boot Options To change it, so I can boot from a bootable USB.

Try this: Dell
If that doesn't work, you may want to reset the CMOS. Google it.

95% of the research I did said not to reset the CMOS, for it doesn't work.

There's a jumper on the motherboard, close it, boot (resets bios), shutdown then open jumper, boot and enter bios.
