Default Poisoned mice dropped from planes to stop the population of tree snakes from growing.

The Brown Tree Snake is beginning to become a big threat to local Residents living in Guam. They aren't causing much harm to people there yet but if the snakes begin to overpopulate it could become a problem. Their venom is poisonous, and could be harmful to younger children but a single strike to an adult wouldn't inflict any harm. But some deaths of children have occurred.

So the solution suggested by William Pitt, a wildlife biologist at the U.S. Agriculture Department's National Wildlife Research Center in Hawaii said

The mice will be dropped into tree's from planes and will have parachutes so they will hopefully get strung up in trees where the snakes lurk.

    Sorce...

So do they each have tiny parachutes for each mouse?

Great, kill off all the snakes. Later, "oh shit, now they're an endangered species"

Same thing happened to america with the bald eagle.
