Steel Series KANA Gaming Mouse Review
Tonight I was messing about with a few friends, and long story short my mouse broke.
I went to Wal-Mart in hopes to find a cheap temporary solution to my issue, and one thing led another and I got the 'Steel Series KANA' mouse.
Here's the site for it.
I purchased the Black & Orange version of it.
The middle button that's been added on has a very unique and somewhat stupid purpose. All it does is toggle a light below the scroll-wheel.
But, you can re-bind that to be used for something else, as I have done. I use it to execute the key combo CTRL+V,
and I also bound the left side button to the key combo of CTRL+C. My OTHER right side button has been bound to delete the entire line in my IDE,
so I can easily copy a line of code, delete it, and paste it in a matter of seconds. It's seriously improved my productivity by loads.
I'm sure while gaming I can also re-bind this to something more suitable.
For the price of $50 USD it's definitely worth it. You can find them at Wal-Mart by the Turtle Beach PC headset, or the Razor equipment.
Which by the way, in my opinion has got nothing on the sleek simplistic design of the Kana mouse.
I'm fairly sure Steel Series also sells Mechanical Keyboards, and you developers know how appealing those are (;.
- Sleek design, easy to get used to.
- The amount of buttons is just right.
- The colors are amazing, on both models.
- The wire is quite interesting, it's a sort of mesh. It's also Orange & black.
- A nice logo is on the butt of the mouse.
- Sturdy mouse. It's going to hold up for ages, I can already tell.
- Sensitivity is buggy every now and then, but nothing to be worried about.
- Top button is useless until rebound.
It also comes with three nice adhesive slippery material to put on a few portions of the bottom of the mouse to improve traction and performance on flat surfaces that lack a mouse-pad.

I have a Razor BlackWidow Mechanical keyboard, but I haven't gotten a mouse by Razor because a lot of people seem to have problems with them. I'll look into this mouse, thanks for posting.

Is the software properly made? Or can it be exploited to be removed? Or can it be removed after a few days?

You don't have to use the software, but the advanced functions of the keyboard won't work without it (control of lighting, macros, key bindings, etc).
