Thread: 6.1.3 Jailbreak?
04-11-2013, 12:19 PM #1
I've been toying around with my new iPod 5 gen since about Christmas time. I had an old iPod 1 Gen that ended up being tethered with me having no time to research an untethered version.
I updated to the most recent firmware without intent of jailbreak. After watching a few videos on how the only jailbreak method is tethered or semi tethered... I might as well not even jailbreak it.
Do you guys keep up with iOS exploits or what?
Oh, and hi

So far the Dev team said they are not working on a jailbreak for 6.1.3- it would kinda be a waste of exploits they know of and doing a jailbreak would burn them. When Ios 7 comes out i would guess they would release another jailbreak. I am not sure on a tethered jailbreak for 6.1.3... good luck
here is a list of all the jailbreak DL

This news makes me sad.
I'm sure an untethered one will come around eventually. I make the mistake of leaving 6.1.2

That's an A5 device hence it can't be jailbroken on iOS 6.13. Had you been on 6.12 it would've been possible.

As already said, you'll have to wait for the next major firmware release when the dev team will start working on a jailbreak again.
Because the processor of your iDevice is above the A4 processor, it cannot be jailbroken with the old limera1n exploit.

The iPod 4th gen has an A4 processor; it can be jailbroken on iOS 6.1.3 (tethered).

Wrong. It's possible. For both A4 and A5. Sn0wbreeze has a working semi-tether for all devices running iOS 6.1.3 if you want to wait for 7 to release and Jailbreak that then okay. But if you want jailbreak now, use sn0w. Unlike other jailbreak programs, sn0wbreeze takes the whole .ipsw (iPod/phone software) and rebuilds the whole software with the jailbreak add-ons included in that software.

The Sn0wbreeze tool only works for A4 and pre A4 devices. Where are you getting the information that it works with A5 devices?
