How to Pair PS3 Sixaxis Controller to iOS [Ubuntu]
I hate playing Zombies on iOS, sometimes you can't hit he buttons the way you want. So I came across this lil TUt to help in those situations. It will be funny to see ppl start to carry there game CONTROL-r around with them.
This tutorial was done on iPhone 4 iOS 5.1.1 and Ubuntu 12.10 Quantal.
Sixaxis controller and USB cable
Step 1: Install QtSixA via terminal.
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:falk-t-j/qtsixa
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install qtsixa
Step 2: Plug your controller into your computer via the USB port.
Step 3: Get the bluetooth address from your phone via Settings > General > About. It should look like:
Step 4: Change the bluetooth master of your controller from the PS3 to your phone.
sudo sixpair xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx
Step 5: Install Bluetrol from Bigboss ($6.99) or from your favourite alternative repo.
Step 6: Open Bluetrol and go to the Controller tab. Click the PS3 option and connect your phone.
Step 7: Enjoy.
Windows and Mac tutorials are much easier, but who needs a common OS right?
