    Default WesterosCraft (TIME magazine)

So, I got the new TIME magazine (June 3 2013) in the mail today... and inside, there's an article titled:

    The Mystery of MINECRAFT
With the creators, Markus Persson & Jens Bergensten wielding pixilated swords lol.

As I turn the page, I am immediately drawn to this image of "WesterosCraft"... a re-creation of the fictional contingent from "Game of Thrones".

Upon further reading, I read that it was designed by a crew of 500 volunteers... this place is impressive, if I say so myself.

    - 500 square miles of virtual land, about the size of Los Angeles.
    - 1.3 billion blocks of real estate in a 59,000 by 22,000 block grid.
    - 8,000 structures in WesterosCraft (give or take -- no one has explored all of it).

The article goes into more detail talking to the creators, about Mojang as a company, etc.

If you don't know what WesterosCraft looks like, here's a few images.

    Default

Not a small project they're building.
    1.3 Billion block is massive.
