Will Next Gen Games Cost More Than $60?
So i just wanted to bring this up with you guys so we can discuss it. So the price holder for next gen games are $99 on amazon, this obviously isn't going to be the price but i thought it was kinda funny.
Anyway moving on, i was and am still watching IGN's after show where they are discussing Microsoft's conference and the topic of game prices were brought up.
Right away they said "Development is getting more expensive therefore games will be more expensive. It isn't cheap to develop such powerful games."
Now PC has been doing games on this level for years and has far surpassed it for quite some time (That referring to the graphical power of the next gen console)
Another kicker is quite an abundance of PC games even including Triple A titles have been either $40 or $50 and in some cases the normal $60 compared to consoles.
So with that being said they should not use this as a scapegoat to higher the prices of games. Now i know porting is involved and it's easier said than done but if they are more than $60 people might get a little ticked off. Myself included.
