Alright so this happened to me a while back and my iTouch (3rd gen I believe) has just been sitting on my desk for quite some time now. So I figured I would either try to fix it or get rid of it. It is jailbroken with greenpois0n and now for some reason on startup it freezes at the screen above and I have no clue why. I can't remember what I installed on it because I haven't used it in like a year or so, and my computer won't recognize when I hook it up. Any ideas on fixing it or just completely resetting it?
Tethered jailbreak by any chance?
If you can, it might be best to restore it and then jailbreak it again.
Will it not even recognise it for restore? A untethered jailbreak should turn on as normal and Greenpois0n is an untethered jailbreak. Strange.
Just restore ir to 6.1.3 and then jailbreak it
hold down power and home until you see the apple, then keep holding it until you see connect to itunes, then restore.
if you know what firmware you had you can just restore it to that, which would be best. then it would be untethered jailbreak
but if you store to the newest it will be tethered and you will have to wait til a untethered is released
