    Default Side on pirated OS?

I am currently going to get parts from several PCs, and I was wondering what do you guys think about a pirated OS? I know windows isn't that good for much things but it is the common ground for games. I was thinking about a pirated version of Windows 7 or XP. Could I get locked outa my system if they catch on? Thanks in advance.

Don't go with Windows XP. It's been around since 2001 - 11 years now, and is officially out of support. If the PC can run Windows 7, go with that.

You can't be "locked out" of the OS for having a pirated version, but it will display an alert that says it's not genuine IF you install the WAT update. If you do get this error, run RemoveWAT followed by either Hal7600 or Windows Loader. (Google them, the correct site to download from is mydigitallife)

Or you could dabble into some Linux distros, most are free.
