Does anyone know how to remove this thing? I know the password to get through it, it's just bothers me when I turn my laptop on. I wanna take it off. I know how to but it asks to plug in a disk or something. Please help remove!

Acer Aspire One's don't have recovery disks, because it was built without a disk insert thing, xD.

This has to be removed from the BIOS, press F2 as soon as you turn the computer on, or after you enter in the BIOS password.

If you don't know the BIOS password, you will have to take apart the computer to either remove the BIOS battery (doesn't really work in newer computers to get rid of BIOS password) or mess with the motherboard's jumper settings to clear out any BIO changes.

Reflashing BIOS could work also, but you'll have to either be in a operating system environment to run the BIOS upgrade program distributed by the computer manufacture, or your computer has the ability to read and install the BIOS from a flash drive upon boot.

You might find more help by using Google than here, not everyone here has a Acer, or know much about reverting BIO settings.

get into ur bios,on start up at splash screen enter f4 or it could be delete button for some. if bios ask for password the default password is: password.
once in ur bios it should have a option to disable HDD security stuff. hope that helps.
