# Thread: [Coding] Compressing start offset bytes (Tutorial)

1. ## [Coding] Compressing start offset bytes (Tutorial)

This may be very confusing, but if you are good at simple math and coding like me, this will be a piece of cake.
Today im going to be using a basic Mario Kart code.

Original code
Code:
```Ride bullet bills [toonlink444]
28341462 B3FF4C00
04589010 7C800038
E0000000 80008000```
Now let's do some magic
Code:
```Third byte
5x5=25
25√5=25
Third byte value = 5

Fourth byte
8x8=64
64√2=32
32√2=16
16√2=8
8√2=4
Fourth byte value = 4

Fith byte
ExE=
0123456789ABCD(E)F
15x15=225
225√5=45
45√5=9 (Or you can go lower by dividing 9 by 3)
9√3=3
Fith byte value =3 or 9 (Both would work)

Sixth byte
0x0=0
0√0=0
Sixth byte value =0

Seventh byte
1x1=1
1√1=1
Seventh byte value =0```
The final code
Code:
```Presto!
Ride bullet bills [Splash/toonlink444]
28341462 B3FF4C00
04543010 7C800038
E0000000 80008000
A+B+C to activate```
