Did you get all the settings right in your router for the IP address?

Couldn't you have just posted this in the same thread?
Use this link to check if port 25565 is open. You need that port forwarded to host a minecraft server.

That's what I do.
Lover, you could have set it for a certain IP address and your computer is on a different IP address.

Something that works for some people also is forwarding the port using UTorrent which is a lot easier. It doesn't work for everyone though.
You could google it and try it.

Hello. Yesterday I had ported my server and it was working (I was at my moms house)
Today, I am with my dad, I was using my computer ip to connect and so were my friends.
It will not let me connect to my server and it gives me this error when ever I try and run the server with the server ip in the properties.
Please help me.
My parents also have different internet company's also.
If I posted this in the wrong section I am sorry.
I port forwarded at my moms house...
Thanks in advance.
Also, Sorry if this isn't the right place to post this stuff.
It is a bukkit server also.

If you're at your dad's house now why are you trying to run the server there? Why not just keep the server running at your mom's house?
