Default Guitar Hero mic for MW3 on Wii?

Is there a way to use my guitar hero mic to chat on MW3? I can hear everyone talking, I would like to be able to talk back. I don't want to lose the quality of my surround sound though. From what I understand, if I use the Wii headset, all the sound will be re-routed through the headset. So, I would like to be able to listen through the surround sound but still talk to people. My Wii is soft-modded, so I have the Homebrew app, if it is required.

    Thanks in advance,
    Sharknet

The game sounds don't go through the mic, only people talking. I think that is what you wanted to known.
