    Default Something I've been working on.

    Spent a few hours today modeling this in techne, and then coding it into MC.

    This is a tentative model, and I'll probably keep playing with it for a while. Not sure what I'm going to do with it yet.

    It's pretty nice. You could've just as easily modified the pre-existing spider class files that handle the rendering. But this is an interesting approach to adding a new mob.

    I used the majority of the default spider code; just used ClientProxy to tie the spider class I made with the model and rendering method. Only thing that took time was messing with the rotation angles. It's generally bad practice to edit the default shit. It doesn't matter for just dicking around, but I'd rather not get into the habit; compatibility issues and shit with other things. There's several practices for replacing default classes if you want to edit vanilla stuff, like asm, forge events, etc. For example, to replace the default spider, I could use the LivingSpawnEvent that Forge provides.

    If adding multiple things, whether it be mods, mobs, or whatever, if they are similar, make a base class and implement it. You can also write a wrapper to extend & utilize the default spider code, but change it to your liking in your own class file(s).
