PS4 "Blue Light of Death"
A handful of PS4 owners claim to have a Blue light of Death. Also called Blue Pulse of Death. The problem that these PS4 users are facing is frustratingly simple. When a PS4 is working and is turned on with a press of the power button, the light that runs along the side of the console should first pulse blue and then switch to white. As it does, the console should send a signal to the TV it is hooked up to. Those who have the "blue light/pulse of death" are instead finding that their PS4 pulses blue, never goes to white and never sends a signal to their TV. Some users fixed it because it was simply bent metal in the HDMI cord. Others have sent the console back for a new one. While some can't fix it at all. This is the first ttime I heard of this problem and decided to share.

Well if its only the HDMI, they could just go to the store to get a new one, but it doesn't sound like its just the HDMI.

Its not a widespread problem just like XBox's Disk tray issues arent that widespread.
Not to mention all new purchases have a 1 year warrenty.. Only issues are if they follow xbox 360's RROD were they died just outside of the warrenty's timeframe

This wasn't even that widespread of a problem. Kotaku even said that in the video they put up about it. The hdmi pin on the ps4 somehow got bent and caused that problem.
